AAPL Q3 2026 Earnings Preview
Apple Incorp. (AAPL July 29, 2026, 338.19 close)
Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) will release fiscal third-quarter 2026 results after markets close on Thursday, July 30, with Tim Cook delivering his final earnings call before John Ternus takes over as CEO on September 1.
Analysts expect EPS of about $1.88–$1.93 and revenue of roughly $108.1 billion to $110.75 billion, following a March quarter that topped estimates on both revenue and earnings.
Key highlights:
- Apple closed Tuesday at a record $340, up 1%. The stock is up on hopes for robust iPhone demand and expected innovation under incoming CEO John Ternus, who will replace Tim Cook in September.
- Since Tim Cook became CEO, Apple shares have climbed over 2,400%, boosting the company’s market value by about $4.6 trillion and making it the first firm to reach a $1 trillion valuation.
- Apple is up 24% year-to-date in 2026, outpacing the Magnificent Seven (flat) and the S&P 500 (+7%), with much of the gains concentrated in July amid a reassessment of AI spending and the firms dependent on it.

- The Mag 7’s slump has coincided with growing concern about heavy capex plans and a possible slowdown in AI demand, driving sectors such as chipmakers into bear-market territory.
Investors Focus:
- Rising demand for AI hardware has pushed up prices for memory and other components; Apple warned these higher costs will pressure product margins and raised prices in June on several items, including iPads and MacBooks.
- Apple hasn’t raised iPhone prices yet. Baird analyst William Power expects the company to do so this year to offset input-cost inflation especially memory and believes iPhone demand is relatively inelastic, so price hikes could ultimately boost revenue.
- Third-quarter iPhone sales are projected to have risen 21% year-over-year to $53.7 billion.
- On Tuesday Apple launched Apple Upgrade, a Klarna-powered leasing program offering 12- and 24-month iPhone plans starting at $17.99/month with trade-ins through Apple’s program available to reduce monthly payments. A move that could encourage upgrades even if prices rise.
Analysts Expectation:
- KeyBanc reiterated an Underweight rating on Apple (AAPL) and maintained a $250 price target.
- Baird lifted its price target on Apple (AAPL) to $330 from $310 and kept an Outperform rating.
- An analyst from Morgan Stanley maintained Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) at ’overweight’ with a price target of $364.00 from a prior price target of $360.00.
